About Orrville, Ohio

Orrville was founded as a fuel and water stop on the Ohio & Pennsylvania Railroad and celebrated her 150th birthday in 2014. Visit the Railroad Heritage Museum or take a ride on the Orrville Railroad which offers great "fall colors" rail excursions. The city Orrville claims several nationally prominent companies but is best known as the home of the JM Smucker's Company. The Smucker Company Store and Cafe features products from their numerous brands and is a favorite tourist stop. Annual events include the Summer Concert Series, Farmers Markets, the Rib & Music Festival and Home for the Holidays. The downtown area is being rebuilt in a retail renaissance mode. If you love the great outdoors- Orr Park encompasses over 40 acres and the Orrville Walking Trail & Wetland Complex is a 26 acre park with walking loops and a pond. Orrville is home to the Wayne College branch of the University of Akron and the local YMCA has a swimming pool and many athletic programs. A recent acquisition of the local hospital by the Aultman Health Foundation has resulted in increased equipment, specialties and services available.
