Sugarcreek is often referred to as "the little Switzerland". Nestled in the rolling hills of Tuscarawas County, it is located about 30 minutes south of Canton. Known for its diverse culture of Amish and their deep roots with Switzerland and Germany,  Sugarcreek is a wonderful blend of all three cultures. The area is famous for Swiss cheese and an annual Ohio Swiss Festival full of events for all the family. Area shops also feature sought after handcrafted Amish products including fine wood furniture and hand-stitched quilts. Many residents here seek to maintain a simpler lifestyle.
